Your day of off-piste skiing in Courmayeur starts with an ascent
via ski lift to Plan Checruit situated at 1700m. Your morning runs are
dedicated to the many trails throughout the forests of Val Veny. In the
afternoon, take the cable car up the mountain to 'Arp where you can
take-in the unforgettable views along the south side of Mont Blanc.
Then, enjoy an off-piste descent into the valley through Arp to
Dolonne. Tonight you will enjoy some rest and relaxation at your hotel
This morning after breakfast, a short transfer takes you from
Courmayeur to Entreves. Here you will take the new cable car leading
to the heart of Mont Blanc in Punta Helbronner located at an
elevation of 3462m. After a pause to admire the exceptional vista of
the White Valley’s peaks and glaciers, begin your descent to
Chamonix. Ski across the glacier and under the walls of Giant's Tooth
and Aiguille de Chamonix. Return by bus to Courmayeur for an
Power-up with breakfast at your hotel then motor through the
Valle d 'Aosta by Courmayeur Champoluc to arrive at the foot of Mont
Rose, a pleasant drive of about 1.5 hours. The day of skiing
commences towards Gressoney where your hotel accommodations
for the next three nights await. Your luggage will meet you at the hotel
at the end of the day. The wooded areas of Champoluc and the
beautiful gondola will allow you to discover the many possibilities of
this unique area for off-piste skiing. Overnight at the Gressoney La
Today you will experience a day of freeriding in Alagna, on the
Piedmont side. This area is well-known for its long and wild descents.
From Gressoney take the ski lifts to Punta Indren to ski The Balma,
acclaimed for freeriding among ski aficionados the world over.
Encounter wide slopes with many variations from the upper station to
the old station of the cable car as you explore the snowy terrain of the
Balma. The route is long and with the right snow conditions you can get
to the village of Alagna over 2000 meters above in altitude. Take some
time for lunch in the beautiful Shepherd refuge with the southeast wall
of Monte Rosa as your backdrop. In the afternoon, enjoy off-piste skiing
or ski along the groomed slopes in the area of the Passo dei Salati.
Overnight at the Gressoney La Trinité hotel.
On this splendid morning, you return to the valley of Champoluc
for a beautiful descent in front of the Monte Rosa massif: Plans Verra.
Take the lifts from Staffal leading to the Bettaforca Pass and a gentle
climb with your seal skins takes you directly to St. Jaques, the last village
in the Champoluc. After lunch in the village, use the lifts to return to
Gressoney then unwind from the day’s activities at your hotel.
Rise and shine for your last ski day dedicated to the many routes
that descend from Punta Indren to Gressoney: The Canale dell 'Aquila,
the Grand Canal, Stolemberg – all beautiful and with numerous
variations to suit all levels. You will end the day in the valley of Salza, an
area that is spectacularly suitable for skiing with remarkable views of
the majestic glaciers of Monte Rosa. Return to your hotel and prepare
for your travels home.
