Panorama Ski articles

If you are looking for a ski resort that is not quite as big and commercial as many of them tend to be then you might want to consider a small ski resort in British Columbia called Panorama. Ski resorts by nature tend to be in large resort towns that cater to thousands of people at a time, which can make for very crowded slopes and amenities. This can take a lot of the fun out of your skiing vacation as you came for the skiing not to be stuck standing in endless lift lines. When you are ready to ski Panorama you will find that the resort of Panorama Mountain Village is nestled deep in the Canadian Rockies about 2 hours south of the city of Banff.

The local residents are considered to be among the friendliest you will find in any ski resort and the lodgings are all highly recommended. The village is designed to be small enough that everything is in walking distance allowing you to park your car and leave your keys in your room while you are there. If you are looking for serious verticals when you ski, Panorama offers 4,000 vertical feet above the ski village and the natural hot pools for you to ski. For those who are into serious powder you can take a helicopter ride to the top and enjoy one of three different incredible powder descents that will leave you breathless and with a story to tell when you get back home. After you ski the Panorama slopes you can sit back and enjoy a hot meal and drinks at one of the excellent local restaurants while swapping tales of your days skiing with your friends. You can go shopping for souvenirs or sample some of the works by local artists or simply end your day with a long soak in one of the amazing natural hot springs that can be found in Panorama.

One of the reasons so many people like to come and ski Panorama is that it offers full ski in ski out abilities at the local hotels. You will find a range of accommodations including hotels, townhouses and condominiums many of which feature all of the creature comforts of being at home including fully equipped kitchens for those days when you do not want to go out and eat or at least want to fix a hearty breakfast before you ski off in search of the ski lifts. At World on Skis we know what you want in a Panorama ski vacation, we are all skiers ourselves and have spent time in many of the finest ski resorts in the world.
