It's 9:05 a.m. as you glide off the lift first run of the day. The air is frosty and pure as glacier water. The sky is cloudless. Eight inches of bone-dry powder blanketed the mountain last night, and you mentally thank Mother Nature for this magnificent quirk of Utah's climate. You tighten your boots a notch, lower your center of gravity, and drop off into heaven. These mountain conditions aren't just great, they're epic. And in Park City, they're common.
