TOUR PRICESThe prices are quoted in US dollars.
EUROPEAN & CANADIAN SKI PACKAGES are guaranteed against any fluctuation
in the rate of exchange if fully paid by Oct. 31, 2006. After this
period, we reserve the right to adjust prices accordingly. The US/CANADIAN
SKI PROGRAM does not include airfare. Also, we reserve the right
to pass on any increases received from hotels, governments or other
suppliers of services that are part of the tour package. PLEASE
NOTE, in case of a human or computer billing error, we reserve the
right to reinvoice for the correct amount. A full refund will be
made to passengers not wishing to pay increases provided that the
passenger’s written cancellation is received by WOS within 5 days
after price increase notification. Children’s rates available on
request.
RESERVATIONS All space is on a first-come, first-served
basis. We suggest you reserve as far in advance as possible. Passport
name(s) are required at time of booking. Due to high demand and
limited space, a deposit is required at time of booking via phone
by credit card, or overnight payment or by booking online. If the
services requested are not available at the time of booking, we
highly recommend that alternative properties and/or dates be considered.
NO request will be actioned until a deposit is received. We reserve
the right to cancel any reservation if deposits or final payments
are not received on time. In addition, there will be a late-booking
fee of $25 charged if the departure date falls within 30 days of
booking.
DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS An initial deposit of $350/per
person is required at time of booking. Additional deposits may be
required by certain hotels or condos. Online bookings require a 100%
payment at time of booking to guarantee the reservation. Many airlines
also require “Non-Refundable” deposits of $50-$100 /per person, or full
payment, to guarantee the airfare and reservations. You will be advised at
time of booking of any additional deposits.
FINAL PAYMENT Is due 50 days
before departure for all call center bookings, unless otherwise noted.
If not received on time, it is subject to additional charges for Express
Mail, Federal Express, or any other additional fees incurred as a result
of late payment, even if applied to a late booking.
RESERVATION CHANGES Due to
expenses incurred in making changes, a $25 fee will be assessed
for each change made on deposited bookings.
Additional incurred expenses will be charged
on each change made less than 30 days before departure. This includes
changes made to passenger name, hotel, resort, departure date, air
or ground transportation. Also, any changes to air portion may be
subject to additional charges.
CHARGE IT We honor major credit
cards so you can pay for any of our tours conveniently, provided
we have a signed Credit Card authorization form for final payment,
validated by the traveller/credit card holder, also when booking
online credit card may be used for full payment and is site secured
by Verisign. No second-party credit card will be accepted. Restrictions
apply.
HOTELS Hotels are classified
by the Operator using government ratings and industry standards
where available. We reserve the right to make substitutions with
hotels of similar or higher ratings. In such cases, however, amenities
may not be the same.
European Packages Accommodations
are based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room with private
bath or shower. Cost for single or triple occupancy on request.
Single rooms, though assuring privacy, are generally smaller and
not as well situated, while triple rooms usually consist of two
beds plus a rollaway for the third person. US/Canadian Packages:
Rates are based on occupancy shown.
MEALS–European Packages Halfboard
is included unless otherwise specified, and consists of Buffet or
Continental Breakfast and “Table d’Hote” Lunch or Dinner daily at
your hotel. When selecting a hotel that includes a meal plan, please
note that Christmas Dinner in most hotels is a normal dinner; but
some hotels offer a ‘special’ dinner (included as noted). New Year’s
Eve Dinner in most hotels is a ‘special’ dinner (included as noted).
If NOT included, a normal dinner is offered, with the option to
buy the ‘special’ New Year’s Eve Dinner locally, at a supplement.
US/Canadian Packages Meals
are generally not included so you may enjoy the wide choice of restaurants
available in your resort. Condos have fully-equipped kitchens so
you may “eat-in” if you wish.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION/TRANSFERS:

trip transfers are provided by shuttle bus or van transfers and or optional
car rental as specified in each resort, from Munich, Geneva, Barcelona, Zurich,
Milan, Venice and Turin airport to your selected ski resort are included, unless
otherwise specified. In Switzerland, round-trip rail transfers are provided
between the airport/railway station and the resort via Second Class
rail. First-Class rail tickets are available at a supplement of
$55. All transfers end at the main rail or bus terminal of the ski
resort, and must not be construed as being a conventional transfer
where assistance and porterage are also included.
Land-Only Passengers traveling
to the Alps, who make their own air arrangements on regularly scheduled
direct or non-stop transatlantic flights may use our transfers (rail
service in Switzerland), provided they meet with our scheduled arrivals
and departures (available at the time of booking). Any changes from
the set schedule will be subject to change fees. WOS assumes no
responsibility for missed connections due to delay of flights, schedule
change, or any reason whatsoever.
US/Canadian Packages Round-trip
ground transportation or rental car is available from your arrival
airport to your hotel or condo check-in office. Please see brochure
for complete schedule of fees. Airport porterage and driver tips
are not included.
ALL PACKAGES Passengers not
arriving on designated flights, and land-only passengers whose arrivals
do not coincide with our group flights must arrange transfers to
the ski resort at their own expense.
SKI PASSES / EQUIPMENT RENTALS
US/Canadian Packages Ski passes are not included in the price
but can be purchased in conjunction with your ski package. Ask for
special prices on ski passes and reduced rates on Ski & Snowboard Rentals.
LOCAL ASSISTANCE Resort Managers
are featured at select European Ski Resorts to provide information
on skiing in their resort, and airport assistance when necessary.
They also assist with ski passes, ski schools, optional excursions,
and transfers to/from airport.
AIR TRANSPORTATION All transatlantic
travel from USA is on Continental, Swiss International, Delta, Lufthansa,
Scandinavian Airlines, Air France, Iberia and United Airlines. Elsewhere,
connecting flights may be on any ARC/IATA carrier. All domestic
air travel is on Delta, United Airlines, Continental,
or Air Canada.
AIR FARES All transatlantic
and domestic air fares quoted are based on special promotional air
fares, or negotiated bulk rates. They are subject to changes and
government approval. Air fares are not guaranteed until paid in
full and tickets are issued. If airline or airfare changes occur,
the most conveniently scheduled airline will be selected and the
most economical airfare will be applied. Please check with the airline
involved, WOS, or your travel agent for details on schedules, restrictions,
penalties and/or cancellation fees that may apply to the specific
carrier.
EXTENDED STAY You may extend
your stay in EUROPE or CANADA in accordance with the terms of the
air fare used. Additional air fare/land charges may be incurred
due to the extension. Extend the trip at your own expense (extra
days at hotel, transfer to airport, etc.).
PACKING SUGGESTIONS While
there is no set rule on what to take for skiing, don’t forget to
bring après-ski boots, gloves/mittens, thermal underwear, goggles
or sun glasses and sun screen lotion in addition to your warm ski
clothing. Après-ski activities in US/CANADA are strictly casual.
In EUROPE (especially in first-class and deluxe resorts), après-ski
is more formal and some hotels require a jacket and tie for men.
Women should dress accordingly.
PASSPORT/VISA US citizens
require a valid US passport. Non-citizens should consult their travel
agent or consulate. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that
they have the proper travel documents and MUST CHECK with the respective
consulates or visa agency to determine whether any visas are required.
Passports with at least 2 blank pages are necessary and most countries
require that they be valid for at least 6 months beyond the conclusion
of the trip. To Canada, need only proof of citizenship (voter registration,
birth or naturalization certificate, or even an expired U.S. passport).
Non-U.S. citizens should consult their travel agent or consulate
for the required documents. The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention
Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from Canada
have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the
United States. This is a change from prior travel requirements and will affect
all United States citizens entering the United States from countries within the
Western Hemisphere who do not currently possess valid passports. This new requirement
will also affect certain foreign nationals who currently are not required to present a
passport to travel to the United States. Most Canadian citizens, citizens of the British
Overseas Territory of Bermuda, and to a lesser degree, Mexican citizens will be affected
by the implementation of this requirement.
Tour Documents To ensure proper
delivery of travel documents (via ups) a $10 fee will be charged
to each invoice. Tour documents, including airline tickets, are
sent out three to five weeks prior to departure date, provided payment
in full has been received.
FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE Most
airlines allow two pieces of checked baggage, maximum combined dimensions
of both 107" but neither bag may exceed 62" or 50 lbs. A carry-on
bag not exceeding 43" may be stowed under your seat. The use of
a ski bag is recommended. Extra baggage charges vary by airline.
Clients should check with their airlines on the respective airline
websites regarding baggage allowance and fees.
INSURANCE Health, accident,
luggage and trip-cancellation/interruption insurance is highly
recommended and available. Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion Waiver
is only valid if insurance payment is received with deposit. If insurance
is purchased within 7 days of initial trip payment, the Pre-Existing Medical
Condition Exclusion will be waived. You must be medically able to travel when
you pay your premium. Our invoice will automatically include insurance. You have
the option to accept or refuse it. See the information on Travel Protection
for further details. Insurance Premiums are non-refundable.
CLAIMS Typewritten claims
must be received in writing within 30 days after scheduled return
date of the ski tour booked.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received more than sixty (60) calendar days prior to departure will be assessed One Hundred dollars ($100.00) per person plus any fees assessed by the Lodging, airline, and/or other vendors. Airfare cancellation fees are governed by the rules applicable to the fare basis used and some fares are nonrefundable. Generally, Lodging providers do not provide refunds for late arrivals or early departures. If notice of cancellation is received 60 or less days before departure, regardless of the reason for the cancellation, part or all of amounts paid may be forfeited.
Consult your travel agent or World On Skis for specific details regarding cancellation fees and refund request procedures at time of booking. To avoid unexpected surprises, we strongly urge you to insure your investment in your vacation by purchasing trip cancellation interruption insurance at time of booking. World On Skis will always work for you to arrange any cancellation required subject to these fees.
Seating Assignments Once air
is confirmed, your travel agent can contact the carrier for special
services requests, such as seat assignments, special meals and to
advise frequent flyer numbers. Please keep a copy of your ticket
in the event you need it later proof of your flight; we are unable
to supply ticket copies after you return. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN
FOR UNUSED PORTIONS OF YOUR PACKAGE. Cancellation fees may differ
with the various suppliers (hotel, tour operator, airlines, ski
areas and bus or car rental companies) involved. Whatever penalties
these suppliers impose, will be applied to your invoice. TO AVOID
INCURRING THESE VARIOUS CHARGES, THE PURCHASE OF INSURANCE IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED.
